Carved with Japanese pampas grass also known as susuki on the inside and painted with blue and brown diamond shape fencing on the 4 outer edges. You can feel the indention of the potter's finger on the inside and outside of the 4 edges. Unglazed at the bottom with a stamp of the maker.
